How Much Coffee Is Too Much Coffee?


For most people it’s hard to imagine your day without that rich, dark roast of velvety smooth for that boost of energy, we call COFFEE. Or in other words (n.) survival juice. 
Believe it or not, coffee is actually the single largest source for antioxidant for many people.

Good news is that studies have shown that coffee lovers have a lower risk of getting conditions like type 2 diabetes or liver diseases. Coffee seems to have a protective effect on your liver and drinking 1-2 cups a day may help ward off heart diseases.

So, how much coffee is the ideal amount to drink to get all those health benefits, but avoid the negative side effects? Well, according to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, it’s safe to say that most individuals can drink up to 3-5 cups a day with the maximum intake of 400 milligrams of caffeine. 

And too much coffee can trigger heart palpitations which will lead to a cardiac arrest. But if you’re interested in the number of cups of coffee for a lethal dose, well then, keep reading… 

Yup, you heard it. An excessive amount of coffee can cause a fatal death. Drinking 70 cups of coffee consecutively is that deadly. It’s shocking, we’d never thought our friendly cuppa joe could potentially be a killer. 

However, keep in mind that what you add to your coffee drink which will make a difference as to how healthy it is. Never ever choose to load it up with cream and lots of sugar! That will leave your blood sugar spiked and have the heart feeling a little queasy.
